I'm asking the same thing. I thought he was super at the start of the year, but he seems to have disappeared. I don't know the cause or effect (i.e. is he being benched because his play is suffering, or vice versa?). But I have become a big fan of Plecanec. To me he is clearly the better of the two.

I've never understood why Habs coaches do this to youth... Especially youth with talent.

but you gotta look at it both ways, if they were playing them more and losing then we would all be criticizing them for playing the kids too much...yet it is hurting them to be sitting on the bench all the time

plus, they deserve to be in the nhl and are the best players we have to fill these positions!

Keep in mind that the methods being used here regarding our young talent is not strictly a coaching decision (although he has last say). The habs management, scouting staff and coaches have a theory or plan if you will regarding their young players. Do I agree with it? Not neccessarily. But it is obviously what the organization has decided is best. Thompstar is right. If during this losing streak Julien had played the kids alot he would be bitched at for using them too much. It really is a can't win situation.
