we sould call this guy up, hes what we need for tonights game. Avery will try and run Theo and we need a guy like Ivanas there to kill him when he tries. I saw him in the AHL yesterday and he looked good he's faster than you would think so he's not out of position but still makes some good hits, and he fights. Hes rotting in the AHL everyone is scared to fight him!

i seen that last night, ivanans was calling out a number of different marlies and no one would even give him a second glance, it was kind of funny


we could use an intimidating factor out there once in awhile, i say call him up and let him loose

Good move. There's no way Avery would ever consider fighting Ivanans, but he'll probably consider battling with Murray. If Ivanans went after Avery it would most likely end in a misconduct for Ivanans, with Avery turtled on the ice like he did in Nashville.

Yes he will   He tried last night with Hasek and all hell broke loose  He started a domino effect and there were fights and even in the last 3 minutes they pulled Hasek just so he would not get hurt  I ll tell you this, if he starts tonight and the D does nothing to get back at him,I am shutting off the tube

Ferland assigned to Hamilton

MONTREAL – Canadiens GM Bob Gainey announced Tuesday that forward Raitis Ivanans has been called up from the Hamilton Bulldogs


Now with Downey up Habs have 2 tough guys in roster. WOW is this attempt to look mean.

Ferland has been sent back down. I would say yes the thread is  old but Ivannis has been recalled. Boy I like our 4th line now..Avery and Ivannis. At least we will see some passion from them. A heartbeat would be a step up from the rest of the lineup.

Yeah, he isnīt sniper or playmaker. He is big sized tough guy and i dont think that there is nothign more to lose, so lets give him second chance. He fits at 4th line just fine.

Maybe I'm in a time warp with this thread, but when did we acquire Avery?????????

Ivanans, Murray, Ferland, Downie...not exactly the A team.  Theo...'nuff said. 


Is BG TRYING to tank the season and get a high draft pick?
