Perhaps this is the Habs' version of the Curse of the Bambino. They trade Brisebois, and not only does he become a superstar out west, but have you noticed how many broken sticks the Habs have sufferred over the past two games?
Get it?

actually now that i know what it meant in english its actually pretty funny (gotta remember im from NW ontario not a lot of french here... but we were paying him the money to be a complete player when he could only be offensive or defensive never both at the same time. with us at least.

Maybe funnier to those of us who remember when hockey sticks were actually made of wood!
But I counted four broken ones for the Habs last night, and I know there were a few in the Toronto game as well. And they all seem to happen during the power play, which is even more maddening. I don't know what's going on there............

Brisebois was Mr.Turn over, he always made beautiful passes, tape to tape, to the other team. And I'm happy he's doing well in Colorado, but I don't really wanna see him playing for the Habs again. There was too much pressure on him, and it would happen all over again if he were to play here.

My sentiments exactly. Those who wish for the return of Brisebois have to be crazy. Let's just say that the Leafs fans I know LOVED him. He helped make us a laughing stock for a while there.
If Breezby played here like he is playing since leavivg the Habs I would not mind having him. Also Ward, Hossa ,Czerkowski, Garon they all flourished when they left here I wonder why-- Edited by davidb at 17:29, 2005-11-30
Flourished??? I highly doubt that what they are going through is "flourishing" Garon didnt get starter, Czerkawski is riding the pine, and Hossa and Ward have been inconsistant at best in NY. They started off good but have died since....which is why we got rid of them. You want guys who flourished. Leclair, Recchi, Roy, ......

Agreed, except maybe for Hossa. He seems to be coming around again. But then,...there's his inconsistency again. Maybe he'll learn a lot from Jagr, maybe not.
