CJ should have screamed bloody murder about the disallowed goal. Plus, he showed no emotion about the brutally one-sided calls.....so, they just kept coming! Also, CJ could have easily prevented Andrei Markov's shoving incident by pursuing the officials himself!!!
.....And-o really does like CJ...and he handled the CBC shoving the microphone in his face well...but I tell ya - STTTEEEEEEEEEEERIKE TWO!
And-O- Number one- CJ tried to talk to the refs after the disallowed goal and they refused to come talk to him. He was told to get his next line out there or they would drop the puck without them (apparently the refs were scared to miss last call at the hotel bar). Number two- He stood in the bench door hollering at them after the game. Wouldyou prefer to have him run across the ice in his dress shoes chasing the refs (who by the way did NOT stick around..the cowards left the linesemen to deal with the mess they made).
Maybe next game he should stand on the boards, throw a stick across the ice at the ref, or at the very leats a water bottle, striking the ref in the back of the head. I am positive if he des that the next game the refs will think twice about calling one agianst the habs.
As bad as I feel for Markov, he had NO business being there and should know better. As sad as I am to see him suspended, he ha splayed this game enough to know better.
Honestly, I really do not know what you guys expect.

All I want to know is, do refs remember what coaches are polite when questioning a call as opposed to a coach who throws a tyrade ? And if so cj is always too polite and they still screw him. Maybe you need to scream a little bit. Damn if you do damn if you dont
You are exactly right David. In my experience coaching it does not help to scream or holler. In fact, I just finished reading Bruce Hood's book (he was a good ref back when) and he states emphatically that the players or coaches that scream and showed him disrespect he would make note of and do everything he could to nail them again. David, you are a cop as I understand. Maybe we can use this analogy. When you pull over someone, who ar eyou more likely to go hard on? The guy being an a**hole and calling you names, or the guy who is nice and polite and does not give you a hard time? Better yet, should both of those guys have teh misfortune of breaking the law again with you, who are you MORE likely to cut a break to?
One thinsg Ref's cannot stand and that is being made to feel embarassed or disrespected.

I agree with you in total. The thing that bothers me is that it appears some of these new refs are trying to make a point. When a new recruit comes onto my job they walk aroung like they are unstoppable. They call it the John Wayne syndrome after the duke of western fame. They have a sense of " no one can do anything to stop me" i wonder if the refs have the same problem throwing their weight around as if to say im the boss it gives them a testosterone rush, if so you cannot escape it or do anything about it. All you can do is play by the rules. Then you can always say you were honest in your convictions, but the refs screwed up. Atleast cj can walk with his head high, well higher than Markov is today
Read all your posts and pretty much agree with you guys BUT... Julien should be a little more outspoken AT THE RIGHT FREAKIN' TIME. Make the refs pay for a bad call... don't just rant and rave at every call against you, but pick your time effectively... refs will recognize that. Pat Quinn rants and raves at almost everything, and the refs deal with him... they have to. Like And-o, I find CJ a little too polite!
Pat Quinn looks like and sounds like an idiot back there. It is like the boy who cried wolf. He whines so much that the officials place zero credibility in his opinion. Having said that, the fact that Julien is not like that, could be an opportunity. Perhaps if Claude does start to mouth off at opportune times (I do not want him to stoop to the point of looking like Pat Quinn spitting his gum out as he hollers) he may make a point.
By the way And-O, regarding your 2 strikes..thankfully CJ's pay checks are signed Gilette, not And-O :o)

Granted, And-o doesn't sign the cheques.....but 21,473 give performance appraisels 41 times per year (more in the playoffs).....and George will listen if history is any teacher!!!
.....trust me - CJ has two strikes (well deserved ones too)!!!

I am wondering how many strikes Bonk has on him now? 18 games without a goal. Getting power play time now. Perhaps he should be off to Columbus with Julien?

I've been extremely dissapointed with bonk aswell. For a guy who was praised as a saviour and a future 1st liner by the 1/4 mark of the season. He sure looks good in the pressbox pampering his groin. The guy is nothing big ( other than literally ) and-o. Im still yet to see what you see in him....

barry, you are being too kind. Bonk now has something like 35 consecutive games without a goal (I don't know the exact number, but it's well over 30.). If CJ is "on the bubble" as Ando would have it, I'd like to know the status of Bonk, Bulis, Hainsey, Souray, or even - dare I say it? - Begin, of late!
Come on, Ando, CJ isn't close to being fired. With the Habs' record to date, he's closer to Coach of the Year!

We all know what Souray's problem is, at least we THINK we do. Bulis was off to a really good start at the beginning of the season. I think a big problem is that with Kovy gone, and now Souray and Markov, the lines are changed up so much. I may be totally off base, but I think this has something to do with what we are seeing from Begin and Bulis. They were playing on their respective lines and there was chemisty. With Kovy out the lines are all switched up, and it seems like players are playing all different places... specially the likes of Plekantic, who has shown strenght in being moved around so much.
Woah Nelly! And-o didn't turn Bonk into a strictly defensive guy...that was solely Julien's doing!
...two strikes...the media will soon be all over this guy if the same problems persist.
Remember guys...Bulis didn't put himself on the top line!!! And, the point guys on the powerplay used to be able to get pucks on the net! Also, the nightly slow starts continue to persist.
STRATEGY IS THE COACHES JOB!!!
...as for Claudes record...TRUST ME...he shouldn't make any major purchases over the next six weeks!!!

Bang on with the young cop comparison. Most of the veteran refs aren't worried about making a big show of their authority. They know they have it. They've seen it all, etc...
Hey I am just wondering if anyone knows of another coach in NHL history that has been fired for not being a snapshow when the reffing didn't go thier way.
Because I have to say that if CJ was fired and that was on the list of reasons... and according to Ando and the rules of baseball there will only be three reasons... then Upper Managment of the Canadiens must be on GENIUS pills because that my friends (for lack of a better term) would be retarded.
Mdmrules normally likes Ando's input even when he slams Sak for not being superhuman enough... but I think maybe giving CJ the provervbial STRIKE is out of line. Cool your jets man because no amount of yelling would have reversed the time-space continuum and gave the habs the win. He was the bigger man for holding his cool and we should admire that not start talking about replacing him.
