Canadiens recalled Huet and sent down Danis today. I wouldnt read too much into it. I think Danis has earned the right to be our #2 permanently. BEcause this definately isnt a call up of a player doing well. Huet has played 4 games with hamilton since Nov 14 and has gone 0-4-0 with a 3.50+ GAA I think this is more GET DANIS DONE HERE TO HELP US OUT!!!! Theo will start all games this week. Im positive. Unless Huet is playing against LA ( former goalies game ) Id prefer a Theo vs Garon game.

I sort of disagree with you on the Habs' motivation on this move, Johab - the Habs don't care all that much whether Hamilton wins or loses; it's a development club (yes they'd rather see them win games, which is a better atmosphere in which to develop players, but that's secondary). Rather, I think they're sending Danis down to get him some regular action, since he's the true #2 guy, as you state. They'd rather have Huet up in Montreal warming the bench most nights.

I think they want to test out an asset that hasn't really been tested yet. Some good performances out of him could whet interested parties come trade time. Throw in some flexing for Danis to get some confidence built.
