I wasn't hoping for CJ to get fired, just worried that he will!
As someone mentioned before Gainey will make a quality trade in due time but that may take a long time! Gainey won't pull the plug unless he feels it's perfect trade for his club! It could take most of the season with his patience. By then, CJ may pay the price!
Like John stated, our schedule isn't getting easier and we could be back to 500 in no time!
Gainey won't take to losing well as I think his expectations are greater than in the last season! Yet he won't put his butt on the line especially in Habland and make a rash trade. Has he ever made a rash trade? Therefore CJ may pay the price!
As you buiuld a team, you always hear you build from inside out. That starts with the coach.I think cj is one of the most intelectual coaches around, by the way the bruins are worse off and Sullivan is still on board. It will take an awful lot to dump cj.
You can tell when a team has quit on it's coach. And as much as I disagree with firing the coach because of this (geesh guys you are paid millions to play hockey you do not need to be motivated) I do understand that is how it works. Easier to fire one then a whole team. But I do not see any signs of the Habs having quit on CJ. And that is a good sign. (By the way does anyone wonder how Lindy Ruff has survived so long in Buffalo???)
