Saturday night I watched U2 rock the Bell Centre like never before. On the way out, in the corridors, 25,000 people were trying to find some breathing space to get to the exits. In my pursuit, who do I come face to face with? Former Hab, Vinnie Damphousse. I looked to my friends, and said , "hey, it's Vinnie".
Born Dec 17, 1967, so he'll be 38 next month. He retired earlier this year.
I once played softball against him in Halifax, NS. It was a touring NHL team - mostly Leaf players (it was while Vinnie played for the Laffs), including Tie Domi, Dan Marois, Alan Bester among others. They whupped us.
