Honestly, Markov is our #1 at the moment. The guy is the most improved on the team. And as of late Rivet also has been alot better, hes playing much better. But Komi, Streit, Souray have been average at best, bouillon has been see-sawing alot lately, will have a good game, then a bad game. I think its obvious that we dont have a #1 on our team who would be a #1 on any other team. We need to land a guy who can blast shots on the point on the PP, and do his job in his own end and make other teams be afraid to dance around in our end. the way souray let spezza around him is just disgusting. Souray definately needs a game on the bench, he has been nothing ever since he came back from his injury last season. Im hoping he turns it around soon tho! We REALLY need him to step it up. I also think we all have seen how this Kovalev injury has hurt our team. Koivu won us the first game, against florida, but that tream is struggling like crazy as it is, i think its 11 straight losses now.  The game against New Jersey, we got beat by a better goalie while theo had probably his worst game of the year ( Also remember he was playing with a bad groin, he was favouring it alot during the game, his mind just wasnt in the game and i blame the coaching staff for that one. Danis got killed by his own team last night. 2 goals deflected off habs and a couple more were defensive breakdowns. I really think we are going to be riding a slide down for a couple more games. Do you REALLY expect Montreal to stay up there all season with Ottawa? I dont think so. Accept the fact that we arent THAT good yet and just be glad that we got off to a good start that we can build on and have the other teams chasing us. As long as it stays that way we dont have much to worry about. New Jersey and Washington were the first games in 10 that we didnt get a point. Not bad if you ask me!

great post, i think of when you say a d man who can blast shots from the point. i was hoping souray would come of age again  remember his hard to stop shots  with the sens and leafs coming in next 4 games, we need something. i just wonder how long we fall before bg  cj  dj rg and rm make something happen with emphasis on bg

Johab- I cant agree on your assesment of Danis last night. 4 goals on 18 shots is unacceptable. He sucked, plain and simple. Especially on the last goal where Streit shot it at him and he gave it away instead of jumping on it. As for Theo playing against Jersey think again before you blame the coaching staff. Theo insisted he was good to play. Sometimes ego gets in the way of common sense.

i blame theo for  nj   he should have sat out, but he played when was not ready  last night he looked a bit shaky when moving side to side
