As fast and as fun as it has been so far this year, imagine if the league shed a couple of teams (or more) which would up the overall standard of play.

I'd get rid of Atlanta, Carolina, Phoenix and Florida. Then I'd add Winnipeg and Quebec. (And Halifax, but that's just a pipe dream! )

Lets get rid of Nashville, Phoenix, and 1 FLA team.
I would like to see a NHL team that is supported by the Maratimes... Nova Scotia, Newfounland, ect - - but I don't want to lose Ryder. There should be more Canadian teams in the NHL - after all, hockey originated in Canada!

Actually, I think a team in Moncton, NB could draw 15,000 to 18,000 per game. I say Moncton because they have more population within a three-hour drive than, say, Halifax, even though Halifax itself is much bigger. Moncton could draw from its own metropolitan area, plus Halifax, Saint John, Fredericton, Miramichi, Charlottetown, and all points in-between.
