MONTREAL – Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced Friday that forward Raitis Ivanans has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

Ivanans, 26, played in two games thus far this season with the Canadiens. The 6’04, 263 pound forward missed the last 13 games due to a facial fracture suffered on October 11 against the Ottawa Senators. Ivanans was acquired by the Canadiens as a free agent on July 16, 2004.
