For me i was on the edge of my seat for the whole overtime but once the shootout started i kinda settled back down. I find it pretty bad and not exciting, the only way i could ever accept it in hockey would be if they extended the overtime to 10 minutes and a 5 player shootout. But really was a tie really so bad? it never bothered me much, any thoughs?

Well, a point is a point. And I imagine Sidney's shootout goal will be front-page material in the Halifax paper tomorrow, but yes, the OT was more exciting, edge-of-your-seat stuff. Overall a good game.

i don't want to take away credit from Crosby's goal because it was beautiful, but i have always been against the shootout. at first i gave them a shot, in the AHL where i had season tickets, but they get boring to me after awhile. its like penelty shots, back in the day (3 years ago and before) if there was a penelty shot i would be on my feet but now its too common an occurence for it to be so exciting.
