For those of you still whining about the Garon for Bonk trade..Garon has lost the starting posistion to Jason Larbererra because coach Andy Murray says that "Mathieu can play better". Labarberra makes his 4th straight start tonite. Appears that Garon is relegated to bench duty. Not a bad trade BG

Not to take anything away from the trade but Bonk has not done any better in Montreal. This trade needs to be evaluated over a couple of years.

A quote from TSN about Garon. Not great so far.I think he will be good, but not as good as some here think:

Labarbera, 25, is a major contributor to his team's start. His 8-2-0 record is accompanied by a 2.17 goals-against average and .921 save percentage - both top-10 in the league in each category.

"I don't want to read into it too much, it's been only 10 games, but I'm just excited to get an opportunity," he said.

"It's been awesome so far, I couldn't have scripted a better start I don't think."

Labarbera has for now installed himself as the No. 1 goalie in Los Angeles, winning an early battle with former Montreal backup Mathieu Garon (2-3-0, 3.24 GAA, .875 SP). Labarbera is set to make his fourth consecutive start Wednesday.

Jim Carrey... Got traded to Boston then disappeared forever. I hope that doesn't happen to Garon. Always liked him. I agree though that it is too early to tell anything. Look at Theo, even though the Habs been winning, he hasn't exactly been stellar until last night. I think Mathieu will rebound.

Please re-read that post, Gary, and see if it makes sense to you; it makes none to me!

He's making reference to your being a comedian.  A club owner/m.c. would say something like that at the end of the set.
