It is well known by long-time posters (yes, you, And-o), that I don't have RDS on my cable package (they simply don't have it here in Halifax), and my condo corp. won't allow satellite dishes.  TSN has the stupid Boston/Philly game on down here.

Sooooooooooooooo........... here's what I'm doing: I get the live audio feed from the web, on NHL.com (in French, although I have the choice).  I have wireless headphones for my stereo; I simply plug these in my computer's speaker, and away we go!  The computer is in my office (a converted spare bedroom); I can go about my business around the house while listening to the game, and later I can even go to bed while still listening in.

Neat, non?

Hey you do what you have to do to get the game. I think someone should start a channel that does every Habs game I dont care if it is french or English just as long as it is broadcast south of the border

I do exactly the same thing, Nil, except that I of course go with Rick and Murray.

I misunderstood the first post, I thought for some reason you were getting the french broadcast and listening on the internet

another Guiness infused case of confusion. Brilliant!

Nil, could you possibly get Digital Cable? I know that's what I had to do since my DirecTV and DishNetwork satellites went down. Center Ice is expensive with it, I know, but I have no alternative at this point.

Isn't CJAD also available of the digital radio music stations that you have on digital cable or digital satellite?  I know CJAD is carried on Bell Exppressvu.

I am getting the French broadcast from the web (just no video), so I still don't know what you mean.

I'll look into that one, but for what little TV I watch, it gets expensive.

There are no games on the local radio, except the Halifax Mooseheads.  And my condo corp. doesn't allow satellite.  I'm not sure who I'm listening to via the web, but they're very enthusiastic.

I originally thought you could only get the game on tv in one language, so you were watching on tv and listening on the web to the same game in a second language. That's where the question about things synching up came from. But it was all a big mind-flop (see entry on Kovalev's occasional numb spots)
