Kovalev #27

In my opinion, Kovalev is the most talented player on the team. He just needs to get "heated up." What do you guys think???

Begin/Ribs are great too. A great team overall I think - - - but we need some d-work.

Oh yeah, Kovalev would be the most talented player on alot of teams, he's just oozing with raw stick-handling ability.  A great joy to watch and was elated upon hearing he decided to stay in Mtl after they picked him up for the stretch run of the 03-04 season.

Hopefully he'll soon be getting the bounces as far as putting the puck in the net.  Kovy got robbed tonight, that's for sure.

Kovalev is loaded with talent.  So far this year he has been pretty consistent, but the knock on him is that he doesn't show up every night.  Perhaps the chemistry on the Habs is good for him.

By the way, your name suggests you are in Nova Scotia - where?  There are 4 of us already on this board - macneil, Zulrath, Suz, and me.

Oops!  I read your post #2 before #1.  So you're David's son? Welcome aboard!  Not Nova Scotian, but one-sixteenth, I guess, if your great-grandfather was from Cape Breton Island.

The bottom line is that there is not a team in the NHL that would not give up a TON to get Kovalev. He will easily score 25 this season. But what he does is elevate the play of his teamates. Also takes the heat off of them because teams focus so much on stopping him. Watch out in the playoffs!
