I got to listen to the end of the 1st and half of the 2nd while on my lunch break. Seemed to be a little back and forth with good goal tending. Tell you, I'm not surprised the Habs won (note my prediction about was close) but was surprised they scored 4 in a period - let alone like 10 minutes! Wow! And what a guy, that Begin. If we had a "6th" man award, like the NBA, then he'd be it. What a guy. He was on waivers because he probably was supposed to be unoticed and kept (he'd be a huge plus for the Flames.) But I think his natural passion for the game has been magnified by his love of the Habs. MVP MVP!!!
Great posts tonight, everyone. Barry, we'll have to try and get to Don Cherry's or something for a few pops some game night.
can't say enough about begin, everytime i watch him he does something else to impress me! maybe a hat trick tomorrow night against florida?....the way he is playing you never know.
did anyone else think souray played a strong game tonight? except for the 5-3 when he shot 3 times in a row right at the goalie with no one in position to screen, he played alright. he wasn't standing out but made the simple plays and played tough down low in our end. maybe just going back to the basics and simplifying his game will help him gain some confidence.
sundstrom looked pretty good along with bulis who needs to start capitalizing on his scoring chances. man this guy gets a breakaway almost every game because of his great speed but never finishes. maybe kovalev can take him aside at practice and show him some moves!
was nice to see theo bounce back. wish he could play consistently the way he did tonight....its boggles my mind
ryder and ribiero back with dagenais is ridiculous, once again they were almost invisible while perez barely played, don't know what they are thinkin????
all in all it was a good road game and hope we can carry it over until next game vs. florida
