Game on!! NYI vs MTL Oct 22

Wow!  What a start!  Koivu and Kovalev are making fools of the Islanders!  In fact, the whole team seems to be flying.

2-0 so far - PP goals by Koivu and Kovy (2pts each so far.)  Ryder is playing.  Begin is on the 3rd line and Dandy is on the the 4th.

The Isles can't stay out of the box - ie they are panicking!

And if you caught the anthem sung by Jeremy Gabrielle, that was a treat.  If it didn't make you shead a tear you are not a Habs fan!

Satan sure made Theodore look silly . . . Habs looking good so far!

Habs 2-1 after one, and 10-6 in shots.

I for one am SICK AND TIRED OF THIS SO CALLED "hockey"!!!!!!!! I play oldtimers hockey and our game today had more contact then this game does!!!! You cant even touch a guy with your stick. Souray's penalty..taps the guy..4 seconds later the guys falls down and it is a penalty!!!!!!!!  There was more contact between me and my wife when I was married than there is in hockey now.

Nuff of that. Kovalev and Koivu are showing they are world class players. And how anyone can justify taking Perez off that top line when Zednick gets back needs mental help. He belongs there. If it aint broke, dont fix it.Can't blame Theo on the goal. But geesh he was on his knees way too soon. Hi stiming i stsill off.

As some of you know I am a coach. This year I coach a AAA high school girls team. We have a chart that we use for our goalies where I have one of the payers who is not dressed chart where the shots are being taken. Anyway, I have been doing this tonite with Theo. Th ebottom line is that it is obvious teh word in the league is out to shoot high. Out of 18 shots the first two periods the Islanders took 4 top right corner, 3 chest high middle, 3 top left, the rest were taken when they were on too close to get it up (ie the first Satan goal).

They interviewed Satan on the Isles feed, he said He saw Theo go down early, that is why he went upstairs.

* I got the above from another Hab site . . .

Leafs down 4-2 to the Flyers, 1o minutes left in the third . . .

Habs/Iles tied at 2 also with 10 minutes left, let's pull this one out boys!

Habs get a much deserved/too close for comfort win . . . 2 pts is 2 pts, and the Leafs lost!

6-2 to start the year, pretty damn good, let's keep it up.  I'd say start Danis the next road game.

A few points I'd like to make:

Begin played great and we can thank him for the win.  Of course K.K.P. was great again.  I thought Bulis was flying and even Ribs looked more confortable.  Theo did look silly on 2 goals, but he was very solid throughout the game.  I normally don't harp on the refs but they blew in on Bonk's should-have-been goal and a missed call that led to the first goal by NYI.

For those who watched on CBC Radio Canada (French) Dandy gives a great interview and the anthem, I must repeat, really touched me.  So what that we missed the Koivu goal, we saw it on replay 20 times anyway.

Next road game is Ottawa...what do you think are the chances of Danis starting?  It would be a bold move.

I'd love to see Danis start that game.  If Theodore plays another weak game against the Flyers on Tuesday, then I'd say start Danis in Ottawa Thursday.

Barry33 almost looked like a genius. I predicted a 3-2 win with Ryder, Higgins and Kovalev scoring. We won 4-3 with Kovalev and Higgins scoring. Yes we won. But Theo looks so damn uncomfortable ou there. Not sure if it is the pads or what. He is too worried about traffic in front and needs to get used to it. It is the new NHL. Thought CJ did a good job with his lines tonite. We have a solid team boys.

By the way I watched some of the Philly Tor game. Do yo think if we had Darcy Tucker he would be on our first Power Play unit like he is in Toronto? What a joke.

Was it just me or was the officiating tonite ridiculous?
