Predicting, news and chatter - post it here.

I'd like to think that the previous game vs BOS was the start of bigger and better for our Habs.  Our checking line shoudl have a field-day.  I'm going on 6-2 with Bonk, Bulis and the top 2 line account for the rest.

Higgins scores two, Kovy gets one, Koivu with one, Komi with his first NHL goal. Habs win 5-4 with another tight one goal game. The Habs give up a quick goal to start the game, Theo plays very well none of the goals are his fault just momentary lapses on defense one by Souray, Dandy, and Striet.

If the habs play their game they should dominate this one...but in the end it will all come down to goaltending. If the Islanders give up as many shots against as they have been doing so far this season it shouldnt be a very good night for them. My prediciton...3-1 habs.

It will come down to goaltending. Anyone who saw the Rangers/Iles the other night saw Dipietro steal (I mean literally) the game for the Islanders. He stood on his head, back, one leg...it has been a long time since I have seen a display like that. We will need to get traffic in front of him (he gets upset easily) and throw alot of pucks to the net. Theo needs to pick up where he did the second and third period last game and if those tow things happen we will be fine. I look for a 3-2 game for the Habs. Kovalev, Ryder, and Higgins score.

As well, look for CJ to match the Koivu line against Yashin all night. Yashin will be a non factor

Lets hope Yashin  has one of his off nights like he has had in the many years in the league.  When on top of his game he can be really good player and having Satan on his line doesn't hurt neither.  Habs 3-2  but would love to see 7-1 game with Ryder and Ribs getting the offensive powers going

habs should have no trouble dominating this game, if they can capitalize on their chances then it should be a big victory for the habs....5-1, 6-2

koivu, kovalev, ryder, perez, all get goals

Kovalev, Ryder and Koivu with one each.  (I am still hoping Sheldon's gonna wake up, and I think he will)  :0

3-2 Habs - Theo makes some great saves but isn't worked very hard with his D in front of him.  Souray goes to the net, Dipietro loses his cool and it's a done deal.

Maybe I am borrowing Mrs. Hab's rose-coloured glasses here, but our boys should dominate this game.  I don't predict a blow-out though.

And someone needs to call CJ (Barry?) to let him know that my co-worker (with whom I share an office) is a diehard NYI fan.  Soooo, you can picture how Monday will turn out if I am wrong in my prediction.  I won't gloat at all (much) though, if Montreal wins.

The Islanders have been busy dealing with their biggest rival all week...so I'm expecting them to either be on the verge of a let-down or fighting mad!

The Canadiens needs to assert home-ice advantage and really play a smart game though!
