benchmark for a good Habs Team
Permalink Closed

When I see Montreal winning games as a team and Theodore doesn't play a big role, that's a sign that the Habs have a good team.  He's part of the club and makes the big saves when they need him, but he doesn't win the game himself.  We have to wait and see after 40 games.

Theodore also reminds me a bit like Tony Esposito (for those who are old enough).  Tony O. as he was called, would play great if he had lots of action and shots on net.  When he was cold or didn't face a lot of shots, he would play awful.  I think it summed up to confidence during the game.

You make a good point. Because if we all think back to Theodore's best year, it would not be uncommon for him to face 40 shots per night.
