Rumour has it that Dagenais has seen his last game as a Canadien. Pleckanic is taking his place on the number 2 line tomorrow and both CJ and Gainey have lost patience with him. CJ was on TSN saying that "Pierre is a goal scorer and is not scoring. When you take that aspect away from his game it hurts". No kidding buddy.

Maybe they should have thrown him in with a couple of the other do nothings they sent down to Hamilton and gotten someone we could use right now.

it is seeming that the only reason we ever resigned this guy is to keep ribs happy. this guy doesn't belong on any new nhl team and i really hope he's seen his last days as a hab.

What sucks is that we all new that Dags would not last in the new NHL and we could have kept Hossa on the team.

Amen, Flowerpower! Why we lost Hossa for Dagenais is beyond me.

Its really quite simple, Dags and Ribs are friends, keeping Dags makes Ribs happy. If Ribs is happy he scores. At least thats the philosphy but so far it aint working. Funny enought Ribs and Dags have picked up where they left off, in the playoffs.

The other reason is that we owed the Randers future considerations and they wanted Hossa.  At least we got something in return.  I have a feeling we won't get anything for Dagenais; he would probably lower the trade value of anyone he is sent with.

Time for gohabs.com to get over Hossa and Ward.  I'm surprised we got over the P.Roy trade...oh wait, we haven't!

Im sorry but i dont know about that, I think our GM is a little smarter than that. HE runs the team, somebody isnt happy, pack your bags and leave. Ribeiro was scoring fine before dagenais came in.

Seems to me like Johab's got this one bang on. The way Gainey runs our team is that no one player stands out above the rest. So yes, he would never keep Dagenais just to appease Ribeiro. It may have been the future considerations thing, or just maybe he was hoping Dagenais would score like he did last year. I still say he can score if he parks himself infront of the net. Only problem is, that line, and him especially, have not been playing up to their potential.

Im not saying this is the only factor, but it may have been one of them. Ribs was scoring fine before dags but his best year was with Dags. Other factors could have been, Hossa always fades, and i still expect him too, Ward was very disapointing in Hamilton last year, and i heard Gainey say that in person.

Both Hossa and Ward were huges disappointments in both Montreal and Hamilton. Do not let the door from the players bench bruise your ass on the way out boys. One thing BG has shown. That is that if you do not produce or try, you do not stay. I like it. Dags is finding that out now and I guarantee you that Ribieoro is right behind him. For someone to even remotely suggest that we should keep Dagenais because it keeps Ribs happy is a total joke. These guys are profesionalls (supposedly). Paid to do a job. It is like when I hear about coaches being firded because they were "not motivating the players and they would not play for him anymore"..Hello?????? You are getting millions a year to do your job an dyou need motivation?!????????? I wonder what would happen if I went to MY boss tomorrow and said "I refuse to work hard anymore..you are just not motivating me"
