Lindros & Saku (note to Ando)

To quell the discussion regarding Lindros being matched up against Saku - and And-o's (do you still have a hyphen in your name?) negativity towards Koivu, I looked up the play-by-play for the game on NHL.com, and saw that the following players were on the ice for Lindros' two goals:

1. Bulis, Begin, Bouillon, Dandenault (a PP goal)

2. Bouillon, Bonk, Sundstrom, Komisarek, Souray.

Saku was not on the ice for either goal, and was on for one of the Habs.  So to say that he was deficient in the face of Lindros is totally incorrect.  Sounds more like we should blame the Killer B's.

You also stated that "Bonk can pretty well shut down anyone".  Well, he was on the ice for Lindros' second goal.  Koivu wasn't on for either one.

Like normie would say, nuff said.

In any case, Saku's main job is not to shut anyone down. It is to score. That he provides solid positional play and good backchecking is a bonus.
