No intimidation at all playing along side Koivu and Kovalev. He looks awesome out there. I really dont want to see this guy sent down when Zed comes back. But i dont want to see him playing on the 4th line either. Speaking of 4th line...what a line that is!!! Begin, cant stop lovin that guy!!!

Perez and Zed are very similar players in my oppinon. The are both very fast and have great puck control. With Perez maybe on the 4th line with Begin and Plekaenc we could play the 4th line a lot and have 3 lines that can score and one that can shot down the opposition. this would make our team very solid.

Perez will go well with Ribs and Ryder when Zed returns.

He plays a very similar style to Kovalev and they cycle the puck well.  But they need someone to go to the front.  Begin scored on a nice rebound.  Higgins would also fit well .  Gives Julien the ability to add some spice to throw the opposition off.

I like Higgins on the second line, and with due respect to a very impressive Perezhogin, he's getting so much space because Koivu's doing a lot of the defensive work and Kovalev is scaring the heck out of the other team. Still, he's doing great, his skating is part of it, and I like the previous poster's idea of 4 solid lines. Something we haven't had since......1993!

With all these quality players, Bob has many cards to play with when playoff time comes along.  I would still like to see another solid defensemen on this team such as Foote would of "foot" the bill as far as I am concerned, but that's too late now!!

I watched Latendress during the rookie tournament don't be surprised to see him after the holidays (world championships) in a Montreal uniform.

Here is a question to readers out there, should this team continue with current success, how are we going to afford this team next year with the current CBA in place????

I guess it's a nice prblem to have, for a change.

To be honest in the new NHL i feel some players will be willing to take a pay cut and stay on a good team and have the chance to win the cup than to go to a crappy team, have a crappy year and collect a large pay check. In the old NHL you were able to be on a good team with a high salary, Now 5 million/year on a good team is ALOT. I expect most of what team we have this year to be back again next year. INCLUDING KOIVU!!!! He will not be traded or let go. Guys i think wont be here next year are Sundstrom and i have a feeling Ribeiro will be traded sometime this year. He is actually quite the player like it or not, he HAS skill and is passionate about the game. I like the guy, even with the debatable injury fake from last season. He has played pretty decent this year, has scored and put points on the board and thats what he is payed to do. Ryder isnt exactly the best defensive guy around either same can be said about Dagenais. So that whole line is to be blamed for any defensive lapses that happen while they are on the ice. I also expect Dagenais gone next year. The guy can score but hes just too slow, i think Perezhogin or Higgins should take the 2nd line spot. Higgins because he is defense that line REALLY needs or Perezhogin because this guy can fly and knows how to score!
