You know, i go out of my way to watch the habs games, since i live in Victoria BC , the timing is sometimes hard to do. But there's 3 things i've noticed in just 2 games...... Ribeiro, Dagenais and Rivet. I'm not sure wich one is more useless.... Ribeiro can't use is stick anymore to slingshot himself past opponent, Dagenais can't skate and for is size he's a wimp and Rivet is plain old awfull. We have 3 really good young players in Perezhogin, Plekaneck and Higgins so why not put 2 of them with Ryder?
Anyway, it's only my opinion but feel free to trash it ...
PS: i'm new here and hope to be here for a long time. been reading for awile though
I agree with two of three point, Ribs and Dags. What exactly have you seen Rivet doing poorly? From what I have seen he has been steady, not real visible errors which is good for him.
I said it before when the Habs were trying to sign Ribiero. He is USELESS. Alot on this board defended him because he is a "goal scorer". And I said then that in order to cover his terrible effort and skill defensively, that he would need to score 40 a year. Chances of that happening are about as good as Stephen Harper and Paul Martin sharing thanksgiving dinner this Sunday. And Dagenais..what is UP with THAT! My son is 16 and skates better than this guy. TOTAL , I mean TOTAL waste of a uniform.
On the positivie side, Theo looks solid so far and I will give him his due. There are times the last 2 games that he has been kept busier than the only hooker at a Shriner's convention. Souray has got to wake up.

I'm as confused as a starving baby in a topless bar!
Not gonna bash our friendly neighborhood fruitcake yet...He is talented and maybe he will score 40goals( Like you said barry33, that is what he needs to get to make him worth it).
Theodore is playing well. Consistency will be key. I think he will have an outstanding year.
Must admit koivu has been quite the first 2 games. Its early and he is not a defensive liability so its ok.
Souray looks drunk.
And why does everyone bash Rivet? He is not great but the past 2 games looks alright 2 me.
I said it last year and will say it again, that boullion guy is just solid. He is small but seems to never make a mistake.
Perez...I picked him to be the habs rookie to have the most impact. after last night, I still think so. Like Higgins a lot too( future Captain material?).
there was definite improvement in the last two games, they really looked bad the first night against boston... but they won... they looked a little better last night still played mediocre... but they won, lets not go crazy just yet, the Habs next test will be a challenge. As much as we are making fun of dagenais, he always seems to show up against the leafs, lets see what happens tomorrow. I'm going to the game, sitting in greens... wearing my vintage henry richard jersey... GO HABS GO
