I feel bad for being critical of Ryder last season. My comments were about him being one demensional, skating in water, not back checking and not being physical. If only I knew he was playing injured.

Now he deserves credit! Worked hard in the off season to lose weight. Skating like the wind both directions. No one on our team goes wide like Ryder...no one!

He deserves to be on our first line because of his skill and hard work.

 He rocks!

 Keep on trucking Ryder!

I agree ab- he is our most improved player this year. Not just in the socring department but his DEFENSIVE play. He takes the man and comes back hard in his own zone. He is much more a complete hockey player than he was last year. And all the credit goes to him for realizing it. Way to go mikey!

I agree...the most improved Hab so far. He deceivingly quick this year. Would love what he did in the off season to improve his skating, It's obvious he did something. Did he do yoga like Komi and Higgs?

Hey, don't bash people who do yoga because I'm one...

Didn't someone on the board say that Ryder lost the weight because of injury and he couldn't work out.  He wound up losing muscle mass and is currently putting it back on.

I vote for Komisarek as most improved, however.

thats the story i heard also , he couldnt work out because of his injury so he could only watch what he ate to keep the weight off and ended up losing 12-15 pounds . regardless he is a much better skater than last year and he is even going around dmen this year .

CJ told me that Ryder spent 3 weeks at a Power Skating school in July. Weight loss aside, I think that is why he is so fast now.

Send everyone there. What a dramatic difference!
