...Nedved is substantially BETTER than Ribeiro (eg.  skating, size, shot, overall talent)!


Gainey lands a serviceable #5 or #6 d-man for Ribeiro.......Clarke gets NOTHING for Nedved!


Gainey = good!


Clarke = foolish!


...Clarke must have nude photos of boss!


And-o's hungry.


And-o's going to eat!

not to rain on your parade but nedved hasn't been better than ribs for awhile now , ribs is soft , defensive liability but productive offensively. nedved has been pretty much useless for a few seasons and makes 2.4 mil .

And-O honestly, I would have the same reaction as the Ninnima trade. My only beef with dumping Ribs was the fact that it made a poor depth position even shallower. Nedved has underperformed, Ribs has underperformed and Ninny has as well. So when you make a deal like that you are not really sticking your head on the line. If Ninny excels BG looks like a hero. If he does not, no harm no foul.


(By the way, BG has "given away" his share of players as well..see Brisebois, see Hainsey) Sometimes a trade is just not an option.
