Gawd, after all the posts about how Abby style scares them, watching last nights game had to demonstrate to them, that Huet has to be by far the worst goalie in the league playing the puck outside his net. Rolly needs to take him aside 15 minutes a day and work on this with the D.
As well, he is continually on his knees and putting himself out of position- he looked horrible on Lombardi's goals. He is totally lacking confidence right now. Remember last season in the last game in the playoffs he was beat on the winning goal from the point unscreened. Again, he was beat clearly on Phaneuf's goal last night from the point. Get his vision checked!!!
Neither goalie has stood on his head yet but on a bright note, we are finding a way to win in spite of this. 5 goals against the best goalie in the league is not too shabby.

I would have sworn i was reading a post about Jose Theodore there haha. I think Huet will be fine. I have no issues with his puck handling, vast improvement over what we had this time last year.

i thought huet played great the2nd half of the game after starting off shaky, huet is not a good puck handler ,we saw this last yr and in yesterdays game
he will give up a few easy goals due to his puck handling
Christo has had two shaky starts and has yet to find his stride this year. But I have faith that he will. What concerns me most is his play in shootouts. He doesn't seem to be challenging the shooters -- and they're finding ways to get it by him without a lot of trouble. It's early in the year, but I did expect better from him after some of the performances he gave last seasoon. Maybe he's just a slow starter...
Could be Worse... we could still have Theo in nets... and if you saw any parts of this years Colorado games... your thanking you lucky stars (and BG) that he is no longer here.
Huet is starting a bit shakily, but it hasn't been that bad...
I was flipping between the Cal-Mtl game and the Phil-Buf game... now there is another team with real goalie issues. Esche looked like he couldn't stop a beach ball. And Miller is looking more and more like the real deal...
I thought the second Lombardi goal was more of a team mistake than Huet's. They were shorthanded, the forward came back to help komi, Markov bumbed Huet. When the puck went back to Regher, Markov went out to block him leaving his post in front of the net and Lombardi all by himself. Regher took a wind-up and decided to pass at the last second catching Huet and everyone else thinking shot instead of pass, and no one replaced Markov on his defensive coverage. Et voila, 2-2.

Don't thank Gainey. Thank God he found someone brain dead enough to take him and his big salary.
