...gotta give Sundin some props gang for joining such an elite club (and what an impressive performance to get there...certainly the best Laff ever)!


Every single guy (of the 34 in 'the club') deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame (and Mats will undoubtedly be there in the end).


...if only his head could convince his heart to forego toiling in futility and join a contender at the deadline for a chance to sip from the Stanley Cup!!!  (Go before it is too late Mats!!!)


(Mats could be considered the MVP at this rate (although wayyyyy too early)...but...especially considering where the Laffs would be without him...it is possible!!!)

Agreed Johnny. I have always liked Big Mats, inspite of the pathetic jersey he wears. This guy has never once complained inspit eof being on some pretty sad teams. When I speak about big, strong dominant centers, this guy (in his prime) is the first one who comes to mind. He plays the game with class and is not a cheap shot artist by any means.

He very quietly scored 500.   I'd have guess 250-300.


Once Fall arrives, the Leafs start their usual decent to die and rot.  He's the only Leafs still on the tree.  The Laffs' management must put something in his gatorade to keep control of his mind and that ensures he only bleeds blue and white (with no red.)  Poor guy.

How dare we cheer for the Laffs in a Habs forum....THE BLASPHEMY...


I personally despise Sundin and think he is a sneaky dirty player....and he has a face only a mother could love...


But whats worse is who's the last Hab in the 500 goal club??? i think it precedes my time...

I believe Guy Lafleur was the last in 1983/84 season, he reached 500 .


Only 4 Habs ever scored 500 goals, Guy Lafleur, Maurice Richard,Pierre Turgeon and Jean Beliveau.

Turgeon?  Not many of his goals were scored while in a Habs uniform (50 to be exact).  I wouldn't include him on that list.
