Gotta vote Koivu or my cheering would be in vain!! But with the east having 9 euro captains it could be the first year a euro captain makes the final!!!

Yes, it should have been obvious. And-o is a euro hater. And to answer the question. Because until late there where lot of people in the NHL (all coaches and GM:s) who had the same attitude (and there still are) as And-o so there hasn't been any european captains around that long

 Fatherhab's opening thread is a good one. It brings up the point that teams are now sewing the C on their talented and high paid players.


 Gone are the days that the team Captains were the leaders of the team, on and off the ice. Of course there're exceptions as some of the teams top talent are good leaders such as Yzerman and Sakic.
