If you see the no call that started pissing the fans last night... I think it would of pissed our fans just as much. Ninnima clearly missed the poke check and tripped up their forward on a break.

Also for those that don't like Briere...I thought he was a good leader for his team last night and scored a huge goal to take the momentum away from us. The job of the Captain is to argue calls and try to keep the refs honest...he did that. The guy has skill and speed to burn. He's taylor made for the new NHL. I know for sure if he was a Hab, he'd be a favorite of many.

The mistake last night was also not scoring on the many PPs that we got in the third. We had one goal but we needed to really take advantage of long PPs and two men advantages. To the most part our PP looked disorganized and we even had trouble penatrating their zone with two man advantage. Sammy looked bad also coughing up the puck when we had full control in their zone. That's why it's a long season...hopefully these kinks will be worked out.

I guess what you see on TV & what you see & hear in person are 2 totally different views.

Do me a favor & watch every Buffalo game you get the chance to see this season. (not just highlights... the whole game)... if you don't think he whines/cries/sulks like a baby by the end of the year... well... I'll eat my computer keyboard. That's how confident I am in my statement I made in the other thread. (which is why I think this thread was started... you didn't like my whole "Pampers/Huggies commercial" comment)

We are/were seated right behind the penalty box, right on the centre line.... we heard everything that passed through his lips when he was over talkin' to the linesmen.

Is he a good hockey player??? yes he is... I don't begrudge him that.... but a whiner.... he is that too!

I dont know about that AB, Niinimaa DID trip him BUT he did not have control of the puck anymore, Dandenault knocked the puck away while holding his stick back with his own. It was clean and even if there was a tripping call it would be a 2 min minor not a Penalty Shot because he no longer had posession

I don't have any real complaints about the game last night...other than the fact that we lost of course. I thought the Habs played a pretty good game against a very good team and the thing that killed them was something I have seen alot of over the past few seasons........they simply got outworked down low in the defensive zone. It seems to be a recurring factor in Habs games...other teams put the pressure on down low...the boys get to running around and next thing you know...BANG...it's in our net. I think if Carbo, Muller and Jarvis can get the boys settled down and into a good zone type defense we will be fine. Tonight we need to murder the Leafs!!!!!! GO HABS GO!!!!!!

I agree that Samsonov looks out of place on our power play. Way too much stick handling and hogging the puck rather than moving the puck. Hopefully it's all a function of his still trying to get used to his linemates. But overall, the powerplay didn't look good vs. The Leaves and that's scary. They don't have the greatest defense in the league -- what happens when we come up against a team that kills penalties really well? Get 'em working on that power play, Carbo...

Peart- I think you are right. The guys are young and will get caught running around a bit. The only cure for that is to have them play and learn as they go. Carbo, Muller and Jarvis have been there and done that and I am sure that presence will help th ekids alot.
