The bottom of that article has Mario tremblay's stats as a 19 year old rookie....63 GP 21-18-39 points, + 23. The plus 23 is really good for a first year player.
Anyone know who he played with, his first season in 74-75?
Too bad he ended his career on a bad note as he'll always be tied into the Roy trade. His fault or not.
If I recall correctly, his Centreman was none other than: Doug Risebrough was the Canaiens' first pick (7th overall) in the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft. In eight seasons with the Canadiens, Risebrough led Montreal to four consecutive Stanley Cup titles (1975-79).
I believe the line mates Tremblay had when he first came up were Riseborough and Yvon Lambert......This line was responsible for scoring the OT goal Tremblay to Lambert after the famous too many men on the ice goal by Lafleur which put the game into OT against Boston in 79 and Montreal on their way to another Stanley Cup against The Rangers......
