Well, I figured we'd lose yesterday (though not nearly as badly as we did). However, I believe we'll win this one. We'll have some different players dressed, most likely Koivu, which I think will contribute a lot to the team. And I think the goaltending will be stronger tonight as well.
MONTREAL – The Canadiens will look to earn their first preseason win when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday night at the Bell Centre in the back-end of a home-and-home series against their archrivals.
The Leafs won a 5-1 decision over Montreal Friday night at the Air Canada Centre thanks to goals from Darcy Tucker, Mats Sundin, Aleksander Suglobov, Alexei Ponikarovsky, and John Pohl. Jonathan Ferland scored the lone goal for the Canadiens.
Nothing “tender” about Guillaume: Fiery Canadiens hopeful Guillaume Latendresse may not have reached the scoresheet against the Leafs on Friday, but the 19-year-old nonetheless made his presence felt. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound man-child threw a team-high three hits, after laying out four Bruins in Montreal’s preseason opener against Boston on Tuesday.
Hey Mr. DJ: With his eyes on the open spot on the Canadiens blue line in light of Francis Bouillon’s continuing recovery from offseason knee surgery, defenseman Dan Jancevski continued his Habs audition in Toronto last night. Jancevski assisted on the Ferland goal on his way to being the only Canadiens player with a positive plus-minus rating against the Leafs. Signed by the Canadiens this summer and originally drafted by Bob Gainey and the Dallas Stars 66th overall in 1999, the 25-year-old made his NHL debut last season, twice suiting up for the Stars.

Longtime rivals and captains Saku Koivu and Mats Sundin lead their squads into battle tonight at the Bell Centre.
Im really excited about seeing Corey Locke get the big minutes tonight with offensive players for the first time in preseason. I only hope that Kovalev and Samsonov don't let him down like they did for Ribeiro yesterday.
Holy crap.... the Leafs could go up to any of our guys.... punch them in the face, spear them, kick 'em with a skate & hit Price with the puck while commin' in to take their shot & Price would get the penalty for puck interference!!!!
Watching the game on RDS, the goal definitely went in, lcuky goal over Price's shoulder. Chipchurra missed a great opportunity a few mnutes later on a perfect setup from Johnson. Later O'neil had a wide open net and put in over the net. Latendresse played well in the first, protects the puck well along the boards. Kovy,Samsonov and Locke----not much produced from that threesome. Habs are being ouskated and look out of shape... weak passes from D to forwards. Komy looks strong on D, skating and hitting.
Latendresseeeeeeeeee............gets the credit for digging the puck out of the corner on the Koivu's goal but no assist.............then plants himself in front of Raycraft on the second goal by Striet, may have even deflected it in himself......if He stays healthy, has a great chance of staying with the Habs on tonight's performance so far..........not afraid to get his nose dirty in the corners, similar style to Begin ............ definitely a future Hab.
Price played well , nice glove save in the second before coming out. Huet no chance on either goal and made a nice save on a Wellwood tip in front of the net.
Everyone is gonna like Johnson.............hard working and opportunistic.

I disagree. Samsonov and Kovalev were not outplayed at all because to be outplayed you need to play. These guys both did not show up. Yesterday the problem was not Ribeiro, today the problem was not Locke. They are both players with tons of skill and talent, but both of them only show up when they want. Its a preseason game so I'm not all that surprised or that upset that Kovalev didn't show up, I mean i kinda expected he wouldn't. But i would've thought Samsonov would be playing harder just to impress his new coaches. These guys could've at least played well for Corey Locke who we probobly just saw the last of this preseason. They could've done their best for Ribeiro who worked hard to get out of the doghouse but that was not the case.
