Battle for the 7th D?
Permalink Closed

I was at the game Wednesday, where the Habs suffered another loss to Boston, this time 3-1.

It seems Dan Jancevski and Andre Benoit are battling for the 7th defenceman spot now that Jean-Philippe Côté is out 4-6 weeks with a sprained knee.

My first question is, who is Andre Benoit???

Does that mean O'Byrne won't be given a chance this year?

O'Byrne really struggled in the first game when the Habs lost 5-2.  I'm sure O'Byrne will get one more start at the very least this coming weekend.

With all of the young talent in the system, I wish I had inquired about the press pass and if your guy was interested in the Bulldogs.

If you get your wish, will you be of a forgiving nature as the Habs play alot more on the PK?  We all saw some pretty insignificant stuff called last year, like d-men clearing in front of their net, or taking their man out.

That kinda goes hand in hand I guess. I guess what I would like to see is teams a bit more scared to play us. Komisarek does a great job of making players look over their shoulders and a bit more of that would be nice.
