will we ever see a young superstar in a habs suit again, someone who will strike fear in the hearts of the opposing players night in and night out(like crosby). will we draft him, or will he be a sleeper who excels in the NHL or will the habs not have the chance to ever having a player like this again?

I'm sure eventually Crosby will wear the habs uniform.

Sure it will. And I venture to say that it may not even be a high draft pick kinda player (good thing since the few of those that we get we waste on goalies ).


It may be a guy like Latendresse who comes out of nowhere and makes the crowd stand on their feet.  But we will have a few once again.

And-o wonders what would/could/should have been on that draft day a few years ago when Gillett and Savvy tried to pry Kovalchuk away from Don Waddell's hands!!!


It sure would be nice to see another MEGA offensive superstar wearing our colors again...especially one that is so passionate and dedicated to playing full-out each and every night!!!  Imagine Ovechkin as a Hab?!!?  How 'bout Staal?


Even the mystique and hype that would accompany such a player might often create some space and room for other talent to step-up as well!!!


No question though...the Habs do need that one magical young 'face of the franchise' type player!!!


ANYTHING...and And-o does mean ANYTHING...for a Crosby, a Lemieux, a Ovechkin, a Kovalchuk, etc, etc, etc.


...it sure has been a longtime coming!!! 


(And-o thinks that this might be why some think that Bob Gainey 'wasted' a top 5 pick on a goalie!)
