What is Gainey thinking?

According to "La Presse" Bob is looking at signing Jason Woolley with the habs for this up coming season to help on D with Bouillon missing the start of the season! IMO if Bob signs him, it will be one of the most ridiculous things the Habs have done in recent years! Can someone make sense of this?

I think it would be an "insurance" type signing similar to what he did with Simpson last year. Wooley is an offensive type of dman who could fill in on the PP and could be gotten for about 750,000. If the Cube comes back and Streit has actually been playing well you can always put Wooley on waivers. Actually not a bad siging in my opinion

I agree and with the lack of depth on our D, he would move up the ladder quickly.

Remind me who Simpson is/was?  Obviously did not make a big impact on me.
