Well, I'm not much closer to Montreal than you are, NHF, but I've seen 7 or 8 games there over the years. There are flights from St. John's to Montreal, you know. Yes, cost is a factor.
You had AHL hockey there for a few years, but sadly it was the Laff farm boys.
I only have major junior hockey here in Halifax - the QMJHL Mooseheads, who beat the pants off your Fog Devils most nights! But I liked it better when we had AHL teams - especially the NS Voyageurs (Dryden, Tremblay, Risebrough, Carbonneau, Gainey.....................)

i can see the lakehead thunder wolves and if i do a little bit of traveling i can see a wild-habs game if the habs play there this season... if not i'll have to go to toronto or montreal if i have the money might be fun to give the leaf fans hell in toronto when the habs beat em
