I hit one with my Cobalt SS, does that count. Turkey cost me $700 for the repair and I didn't get to eat it.

Hey Ripple......... Just go to sit at the ACC.  There are a bunch of turkeys skating around there starting in September.  Take your pick.

MC just told me the only hunting I am fit to do is for the remote control.  I thought thats why we had kids, so I didn't have to anymore.

Hey MCChick!

...be vawee, vawee twiet!  Wipple is hunting wabbits!!!

And-o thinks that you should cut y'er guy some slack!  Cripes woman, it's not like he's looking for a tour of duty in the foothills of Afghanistan.....he will be hunting turkeys (a bird that can't even fly for cry'in out loud...just ask Lester Nessman from WKRP)!!!

Plus, the 'Ripper' couldn't hurt a flea slumped over his beer while playing 'crazy eights' with the boys at the lodge...that's why they call it 'hunting' and not 'killing'!!!

...and it sounds to me like he is one of those sub-urbanites who would get all emotional if he actually shot and killed another warm blooded creature...so don't sweat it!

(Oh MCfemme...And-o almost forgot...turkey is on sale next week at 'No Frills' for $1.89/lb...ya might best pick-up a few...cuz...well, let's just be honest...he ain't getting one the 'hard way'!!!)

Ando, why would you call me sensitive?  That really hurts my feelings   Seriously though, I would kill a turkey good!  (that what the hunters at work say)  I already have my turkey call down, it goes like this "here turkey, turkey, turkey".  But seriously thanks for the help Ando, I think.

O.K.

....first off.... it ain't ever gonna happen folks, so I need not worry  He may talk a mean talk.... but when it comes down to it, he'd never shoot anything.... other than a paper target that is He's a bit of a softy (~ insert penis joke here, 'cause I know you will  lol)

....second, he's only allow to shoot it if he's gonna eat it ('cause I ain't) & HE HATES TURKEY!!! Won't touch the stuff

....thirdly, let's face it... he doesn't have the time to hunt.... he barely has the time to sleep

Go for it.  For all who say killing game is wrong I say, Farm raised livestock have one purpose in life, to be eaten by us. Deer, Elk, Moose, small game and Birds skip merrily through life looking for something to screw then, the world goes black without them knowing it was coming.

Consider this also, game meat has no artificial growth hormones or other chemicals injected into it.  Properly handled it is very healthy for you.

That's my point exactly sarge.... He won't eat it.

That (to me) is wrong. You don't kill just to kill. If it is for food/health/life, then fine.... but to kill for the sport without consumption. No way Jose!!!!

I was a vegan for a large portion of my life.... However, I DO eat meat a couple times a week now (do not insert penis joke here lol) but I do still have a strong P.E.T.A. relationship. Some of it is just wrong.... there is a fine line. Killing for fun & not food crosses that line.

Absolutely, I will never defend those who allow meat to spoil.  I personaly don't hunt for trophies.  Like I allways tell guys who want a bigger set of antlers, "No matter how much BBQ sauce you use, you can't eat them."

A lot of places out west have a food bank donation thing, where extra meat is processed by approved butchers for consumumption by the poor.  I really like this program, you don't have to donate a whole animal so if you have a small family and won't be able to eat a whole deer you can have it feed others who need it.

That is a great program.... want not, waste not.

rwp2le couldn't hunt anyways... he could never kill anything with a face. & unfortunately for him... there are no wild double cheeseburgers running through fields or forests around here.

Well, he can have a lot of fun without pulling the trigger. I let more escape than I take but I still love being in the outdoors.

i personally hate the hunting, and the laws that make it legal and i think hunting should be banned.

LMAO!!!! we have a bar down here that everyone calls the cow palace and I have encountered a few like that. After they have about 6 or 7 beers it's like a stampede. Almost didn't escape with my dignity intact on more than one occasion. Of course...after having a few beers myself I tend to adopt the Dirty Harry attitude from Sudden Impact and say....."only with humans"....

Now...as for hunting I like to kill everything I see in the woods....exzcept for other hunters.... Actually...not everything...just everything edible. I regulary hunt deer and turkeys and I eat everything I shoot. I am a firm believer in responsible hunting and while I love to shoot those 46 point bucks as much as the next guy I am in no way a trophy hunter. Like sarge said but with my own little variation...the only thing the horns are good for is stirring the soup and in this case....size DOESN'T count!!!!
