Just wanted to get in to the action so I finally decided to join up to talk Habs. I won't bore you with too much detail, however I am more often the type of fan who wonders why we still don't have a bonafide superstar on this team. If not from a fan's point of view, at least from a marketing kind of view. Ohhh, I digress....
I am 31 and I love watching the Mechant Mardi's (for those who get RDS you know what i'm talking about and my all time favorite player is/was Chris Chelios. My current favorite is Komisarek. I really hope he develops here in Montreal and not get traded anytime soon.
Anyways, that's my story and I hope to be able to bring a new perspective on the Habs.
no he didnt complain about saks but took an indirect shot at saying we dont have a true superstar , there are few true superstars in the league so not everyone has one . as for the speaking in 3rd person , i thought he was finally getting bored with it like the rest of us .

...true though...remember it was YOU that made the IMMEDIATE CONNECTION between this comment (from a complete 'Newbie') and Sak-who not being a superstar!
And, who is this 3rd person fella...And-o bets MCGirl that he is a real looker???

HE'S JUST RUBBING IT IN THAT YOU WANT TO SEE A PIC OF HIM AND HES TO AFRAID TO SHOW HIS MUG ,sorry for the caps , and and-o as i said there are few superstars in the league so not every team has 1 , the closest montreal has is kovy , saks is not a superstar , but hes someone id want on my team, i would say there maybe 15 superstars left in the league .

Hey new guy, what do you call Kovalev? If he isn't a superstar the habs will never have one.

We can't see you but you can see us?
You're a looker .... get it???? you look.... at us... ... (I kill me lol)
Like many of you, I live and have lived in Montreal all my life. I've been around and I love it here although I hate the lack of sunlight come Feb.
As far as my thoughts on the Habs, I actually DO like Koivu a lot. By no means is he a 'superstar' however I look at what he brings to the team outside of his average statistics. I feel that he is the kind of guy who has more value to the Canadiens than to any other team. I really do like the make up of this team, however I wish that one day we can afford to have a real 'star' type player to build around.
Welcome aboard, you'll see that this board has the least amount of flamers than any other hockey board I have ever seen lol. Which means you can post your views without any worry (most of the time).

Actually, the vast majority of us are not in or from Montreal. That's the funny thing about this board. I'm not sure why that would be. Perhaps when you can actually go see the Habs any day of the week, you don't need a board to go read and talk about them.

Actually, living in Montreal doesn't necessarily mean that you can find tickets to games as easy as you would think.
I do however love the fact that come hockey season, there are several pages in the newspaper dedicated to this team. That's what makes Montreal...Montreal.
