Would like to thank And-o
Permalink Closed

I just wanted to thank And-o for praying for Koivu's speedy recovery and guaranteeing he will be back for the start of the new season.

I know he loves Saku and also believes he is a great Habs Captain.

Once again And-o, thanks for your Sak support!!!

Mega dittos to that as I too love Saku and prayed for his speedy recovery.  Can't tell you how emotional I got when he was going through his cancer.

Saku is dear to me as he took the time to send me a personalized (as I requested) 8 by 10 colour photo back in 1998.  A treasure for sure.

Someone had to squash the usual 'sandbagging' and 'hedging of bets' that has typified 'Saint Saku's' tenure!  In other words, no more injury excuses (cripes, with Saku the excuses and exemptions start before the season even begins)!!!

BOTTOMLINE...Saku has had loads of time to heal and train for the upcoming season...and he needs to start earning his $4.75 LARGE...and being accountable for the public 'face' of this team in terms of public perception!  From all And-o keeps hearing from some here...Saku shouldn't have ANY problems dealing with any of this pressure/accountability!

Saku has never had a problem dealing with the pressure. He would have left Montreal a long time ago if he did...

Am with you all the way there JohnM.  Incidentally And-o, I don't think anyone has control over when he/she heals so please give it a break.  Many of us are tired of you stating 'Koivu has had time to heal'.  Saku will be front and centre when the medical staff clear him to play.

GREAT...he should be all set to consistently deliver top centre performances for his top centre money!

Ya see gang...this debate has historically been "circular" in nature only because of all the "if's" and "maybe's" that always astericks and accompany Saku...not because the "bashers" perpetuate the discussion (as evidenced by the origin of this thread...and almost all that relate back into Saint Saku around here).

Anyway...And-o is looking forward to the Captain proving to all that he is worth the $$$!

One of these threads again, eh? I love how we are all doctors and know for certainty that Koivu has (or has not) has the time to heal properly.

I have to train myself to not open these threads to begin with.  Perhaps if I jab sewing needles through my nut sack every time I open one it will break me of the habit.

Anyone got a sewing kit I can borrow?

The best centres make more than $4.5 million.

Or through your eye...then you'd have to wait months before you could look at the internet again.....but don't think this board would give you any rest. We'd find your phone number and ask your opinion on eye injuries. Maybe we'd even come in and take some flash photographs and publish them on the site.

feaver- as you c`an see by who started this thread, it is a 2 way street on this forum. The "haters" start anti-koivu threads and then when it dies down for awhile the "lovers" start one up..it is cyclical. As I have said all along, my only problem in this whole debate is the fact that there does not seem to be any grey area with our Captain. If you criticise him in any way, or do not worship the ise he skates on, you are dubbed a hater. I am far from that. I expect more from our Captain because he is oufr captain..and he expects more from  himself.

Great post. Nothin' but the truth

I find all the "instigating" entertaining. Something to read when there's nothin' else goin' on.
