A celebrity golf tourney took place yesterday in the Montreal area and some interesting interviews took place. Thought I would share a bit:

1. Patrick Roy on free agents and Montreal- "I do not think that it is so much the language or the taxes as much as it is winning. Players want to play on a winner. I think that as soon as Montreal has a good, deep run into the playoffs that more players will want to come to Montreal. It is all about the winning. I think that is why Shanahan went to the Rangers. He felt he only has a year or so left to play and maybe he could win there"


2. Guy Carbonneau on the Boillon Injury- "We knew he was hurt last year. It bothered him after Christmas and we were hoping that it would heal itself with rest and it has not"  barry 33 still wonders what the hell BG was thinking signing this guy to a big contract if he knew this?!????!


3. Guy Carbonneau on Samsonov- "I think he is a great addition. I played against him and I know what he can do. I think he will definately push Kovalev and help him to elevate his play".
