Ray- I need one ticket.  As for the hotel, I'll wait and see what the rates are.  As mentioned before I stay at the Holiday Inn and get a deal, but can only get it for myself and not the group, sorry.  Wont be able to get to Montreal until 10pm Friday night.

Yes I will be reserving the tickets. I need to find out when i can buy them.  I'll know more on monday.

I am more inclined to leave the hotel to the the individual because everyone will have different itineraries.

Sounds great Mario, I too agree with MC girl,  everyone has their own places they like to stay, but to meet everyone either friday night or Saturday afternoon before the game would be great.  MC girl are you the hubby going to Buffalo for the game on the Oct 6?  My brother and I are definetly going and hopefully the next day in Toronto.  Maybe we can hook up for a few pints at the game.  Another date that is very interesting too me anyways is the Jan 13 game at 2pm  in Ottawa.  Part of the Hockey day in Canada Marathon.

Of coarse we are going to Buffalo, going to see all 4 games there this year.  MC already has the dates circled.  It will be cool to have a drink with ya there Ray.

Habgirl - 2 tickets please Mario!  Let me know how you want to handle payment...I am booking at Delta Centre Ville.  I wonder, with MCGirl, Roopie and myself and guest, should we contact the Montreal police with a warning?

Just bought our tickets to all 4 games @ the HSBC. We are front row, right beside the opposing teams (the Habs) penalty box.

October 6th, November 24th, December 19th & March 2nd.... the good news is I can wear my Canadiens Santa hat twice this year (Nov. 24 & Dec. 19).... woo hoo!!!!

Hey MC, ill be watching those games and looking for you and Rip. I insist you make a sign for mentioning the Gohabs site somehow. Just to say hi, so anyone watching can pick you guys out. Even though right behind the habs penalty box is pretty darn easy to pick out. But just to be sure.

By the way Rip, while reading MC's post about the train, i was thinking about the bar car before she even said anything about it, and then she said you made up your mind when you heard about it. I couldnt stop laughing. I was thinking if i dont get down there this summer i could take you up on that challenge at the game. But id like to remember the experience ;) But we have started planning Toronto and we thinks it will be end of august area. Ill fill you both in later on when i know more!

Hey Johab,

LOL.... I love the train & ripple has said many times over the last few years that he'd love to take a train somewhere (even across Canada).... I think it's the joy of drinking that made him feel that way......

& Yes, I'll be sure to make some sort of sign to make it easier to see us (re:gohabs) but we'll stick out like a sore thumb regardless .... I'll keep ya posted.

& cool about the end of August/Jays game. The only thing that might throw a wrench in the plans is a wedding we must attend @ the end of August, but that's only one day. We'll discuss the day once you have set your plans.

We are also going to the Habs preseason game @ the end of September. We are sitting in section 111 row 10 (right behind Huet for 2 periods) for that game... that way we will have a full unobstructed view of everything.

I've got to keep away from ythis thread, I'm starting to turn crypotonite green with envy. Seeing that it's a home game against the Avalanche (some of you will remember I'm originally from Denver) there's agood chance it will be on TV over here. If that indeed is the case I'll be looking for a HUGE Gohabs banner!

How did you get tickets, I thought they didn't go on sale until Mid-September.  I'm a Sabre Insider and couldn't get tickets yet, do you know something I don't, If so help me out.PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE.  Please tell your hubby that it would be pleasure to meet you both on Oct 6 and drink a few cold pops together.  As for the other games, I'll have to wait and see.  I believe one game is on a Tuesday which is no good for me.  What hotel do you guys stay at, if you stay at all. Talk to you later.

I bought them from ABC Tickets online but all the ticket selling company's have the same sets of tickets as the other companies..... we use https://www.abctickets.com (We buy various tickets from them... not just for the Habs) These are seats that season ticket holders buy every single year just to sell them off online for double what they are worth.... We might end up paying more than face value, but it's the only way a "non season ticket holder" can get front row tickets to the games.

Just so ya know.... there are still 2 seats beside us for sale for every Sabres/Habs game this season. We only needed 2 & there were 4 seats available.

Here's Buffalos tickets directly... http://www.abctickets.com/sports/hockey/nhl/buffalo-sabres.html

Im assuming the ticket prices listed are for one ticket. If there for a pair I will definetly grab some from that site. I usually get tickets through the Sabres insider,  a few times I've gotten them a couple weeks before the game and our seats were 3 rows from the glass.  Could of gotten the first row but its hard to see certain spots from so close.  The tickets are also canadian at par.  We always stay at the Hyatt, the team usually stays there depending where they going or coming from.  Coming from Barrie and having a few wobbly pops makes the decision real easy. Thanks for the info, talk to you later.  Oh, one last thing, theres a great bar in the 200 section, can't remeber the name but a great place for ****tails.  Before the game we usually go to a place called Cobblestones, great atmosphere and cheap beer.  At the game and during intermission we sometimes go grab pints at this bar where they have old pictures of the Aud, the bar might even be called the 'Old Aud"  Thanks again.

Hmm Desjardins section is nice. Depending where your sitting, if you can get near center ice...DO IT! I sat there once during a game, back when it was the Air Canada Seats, and it was great. Section 208. PLUS i didnt pay a penny...not just for the food but for the tickets either.

The tickets at the time cost 150.00 and i think they are about the same or MAYBE a bit less. No lower than 130 if they are. Id still prefer somewhere near center ice. i had some of the best seats in the house for the habs vs washington game. section 300 RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE...i was in line with the center red line!! :D
