Gainey's gonna have to get rid of players to get players since we are close to 41.5M with all the players we have presently.

It's gonna be interesting since BG works in mysterious ways.

Sabres management has repeatedly said they like the core of their team and don't wanna mess with their chemistry.

They did make one real nice move though Jaroslav Spacek is in and Jay McKee is out. An upgrade if you ask me.

actually we are at 38,622,900 with ryder and perez to go , so we would still need to move something significant to bring in anyone . this is a good site it is pretty up to date in regards to salaries.

Remind me...who is goaltending in Detroit again??? Are they still with Legacy and Osgood or has something happened this season? I would think it would be nice to send Abby there...for oh...ANY TOP 6 Forward or Defenseman

Johab, it's much worse than Legace and Osgood now. They've told Legace they don't want him back (and no one has even made an offer for him). Now the rumor is they're pursuing Belfour for 500K. So yes, they could very badly use a goalie like Aebischer... for the right price, of course.

I really doubt Belfour will bite at 500K. I find it unfair when a player asks for too much and doesnt perform to the level at which he is being paid. It is no different when a GM asks a player ( a very good one at that ) to play for rookie wage and still put up elite numbers. If you are going to ask for that level of play and that level of numbers, you better be willing to pay for that level of price.

didn't Belfour sign with the wings? Not that this will be an impact signing.

Very good site, and very up to date.

However When you look at their totals and add ryder and perez you should also note we are one forward short of the full nhl roster size 14 f 7d, 2 g for typical 23 man roster. You need to add a rookie forward too anywhere from 0.5-1mill depending on how high he was drafted.
