Sorry Spidey, I have to disagree.  I don't know how many times last year Zeds had the puck, and would not pass it to Kovalev.  If he passed the puck, I would love him, no room for hogs in my opinion.

you gotta think that trading Zed for a 3rd pick (2007) was for a) salary dump and b) cause Zed wanted out. So we end up in the good, I think. He might get some more points next year but if he get any time with the guy, you know, the one that make Sid look like a kid. Anyway, Zed didn't fit and I'm glad that a rookie will get a chance to come up.

Considering it is Washington, that 3rd round pick is almost as good as our 2nd rounder, plus we save money. Beautiful.

Good point Habtastic, that is almost a 2nd round pick it will be so early in the 3rd.  Plus now we don't have to look at Zednik's ugly mug.
