Ottawa just didn't have the cap room available to re-sign Martin Havlat (he isn't worth $6 million anyway). 


However, John Muckler picks up the phone and lands defenceman Tom Preissing, prospects Josh Hennessy and Michal Barinka and a 2008 second-round draft pick......all for a guy who had to go!!!


NOT TOO SHABBY!!!


...plus, Havlat is now in the Western Conference.....so he likely won't ever hurt you too much!!!
