Forget about the will they or won't they sign. or of Gainey is even interested in any of those players or that you may or may not like any of them for whatever reason ..this is a list of players that i would sign ( one or two of them at the most) for a one year, low amount contract.
Position Name Age
rw PeterBondra 38 rw Radek Dvorak 29 rw Petr Sykora 29 rw Anson Carter 32 lw Brad Isbister 29 lw Eric Daze 30 lw Jaroslav Svoboda 25 lw Sergei Samsonov 27 lw Victor Kozlov 31 lw Oleg Kvasha 27 lw Tomas Suvory 25 C Eric Lindros 33 C Jan Hrdina 30
Don't worry about how much they would take, just that they're fairly young exept for Bondra and could have a breakthrough year a la Carter or Selanne. So, which two would you get.(assuming you're the GM..lol)
Call me crazy but I would take a chance on the big E if the price was right. Sign him to a small contract with performance clauses (ie games played). This guy is only 30 and if he stays healthy would look awesome on teh second line. Ribs would be relegated to 3rd line duty.

I like Lindros, but that is risky, but as you said if he signed for a low amount and got bonuses depending on his play then I would have to say yes to picking him up. Definite yes to samsonov.
Had no idea Samsonov was so young. And just say no to Lindros (he bleeds blue and white only). I like Kavasha and Samsonov. Maybe Dvorak. Anyone but the Big E and Carter.
I would grab Lindros, as it is our most pressing need. Dvorak interests me because of his speed, skill, and defensive ability. Would make an excellent right-winger for Pleks. Isbister would look good on the 4th-line. Maybe Samsonov, but we have a lot of his type in our system.
