WHAT A SUMMER ITS BEEN SO FAR!!! Barely been able to catch my everyday doese of gohabs.com. Working at Mcdonalds has been pretty fun, brings in the money and my boss is just an older version of me so its easy to work there. Just had graduation for High School a week ago and i happened to win a $1000 dollar bursery for being the most deserving member of the graduation class. I demonstrated the best qualities of being an all around good student. Meaning i kept good grades while being very active in the school, and community and even got a standing O when i went up. And ALMOST fainted no less but the guy shaking my hand was strong enough to keep me up without making my weak knees noticable to the crowd. I was also called and asked to playu for an ottawa U-23 soccer team 2 weeks ago. Their team was missing a few players and i was recommended as a filler. I accepted and went and played and on my first shift out on the field i assisted a goal and played a really good game. So good that the coach told me after the game he would like me to stay for the rest of the season and playoffs. So thats was quite the bonus, and the competetiveness is great! I've also been following the habs and i am glad to say with everything that has been going on, Gaineys Bonehead NON-signings havent made me feel TOO bad...but believe me i am pretty fuistrated seening guys go EVERYWHERE BUT here. Rumors now say Poti or Sykora...WHOOPTI DOO!!!... ANYWAYS! Im still visiting the board and when i have the chance i will definately pop in and share my news. By the way And-o...be a good sport and share that photo!! My team is out now aswell so its only fair that we all are happy. Maybe thats what Gainey is waiting on...you show your photo, he signs big hulking centerman...heck....doesnt Gainey post on this board???

Looks like you're in a very good place in your life these days, Johab.  Great to see for the fine young man that you are.


And those Big Macs will undoubtable put a bit of meat on those lean bones of yours.


I'm doing a bit of contract work these days, for the Halifax 2014 Commonwealth Games Candidate City Society.  Kind of fun to see what goes on behind the scenes.  But even though it's a sports-related society, the work most definitely does not have a "sports" feel to it at all.  It's all the same when you're in the Finance department..........


Anyway, keep us posted on your activities, Johab............and keep up the good work.

im pretty sure that question was directed at me...and yes, suprisingly enough, alot of people do. Sad thing is and what most people dont know ( my boss is going to kill me ) is the Salads actually have MORE calories than the Big MAc. Depending what you put on it. If you dont put salade dressing or chicken in it...sure its healthy, but it will tests terrible. The caesar and ranch dressing have SOOO much calories, and when you add the chicken ...in order of amount of calories  ( Grilled, Crispy, McChick ) it adds to even more....so the salad really only makes you FEEL better about eating mcdonalds...your still technically throwing a big mac in you...the yogurts are a bunch of BS too...

I still think it is one of the saddest/funniest things when you see someone order a salad and then put every topping under the sun on it. WHAT"S THE POINT?! I guess maybe they will enjoy bragging to their diet friends that they had 'just a salad today?'

Glad you had an awesome grad Johab & happy to hear your job is going well.


(Keep in touch & let me know what you thought of the various shows you got to watch this weekend. I haven't been able to watch them all yet & would like your opinion.... also drop ripple or myself a line when you figure out when/if you are going to see the Jays the season...... ciao for now)

Ive watched the Jerry Sienfeld Im telling you for the last time. Just for laughs Volume 1 and all 5 of the L.O.L. ( stayed up late last night ) They have all been really good and i was really happy to see jim Carrey ( a very young one at that ) on one of the L.O.L. DVD's


You will definately enjoy them...tonight is magic night!

Awesome, I'll be sure to watch them first. (I haven't even seen my L.O.L DVD's yet. LOL)

BTW ~ I went to Wal-mart the other day to buy any new releases that interested me. I came across the first season (well, the freshman year) of a show called Undergrads. I had never seen or heard of it before but the cover looked very funny to me. As soon as I got home I popped 'er into the DVD player & was quite elated to find the show hysterical. If you haven't already heard of it or seen it, I assure you Johab, it's right up your alley. There are 4 main Characters, Nitz, Cal, Rocko & Gimpy.


& until And-o post his picture & proves me wrong... I think he's the character "Gimpy" from the show. A weird, eccentric computer genius who stays out of the publics eye, knows everything about everything & can do anything/make anything happen from the privacy of his computer/dorm room. It's a rather funny image to have of him while we wait for the And-o photo unveiling ... lol
