That's right( Said like putty off Seinfeld)... He is the poster child for the Montreal media so desperate for a local hero. They let him at the age of what...21?, pick a fight with a proven vetern leader in Koivu...and due to the really odd forces in Quebec( Bagdad)...he was never sent packing like any other punk ass would have been. Call it only a "tussle" if you like but there is a rule in the hockey world...unless you are also a proven leader...no matter what you think...don't pick to have a "tussle" with the teams captain. Period!

This set the stage for others( Theo, Daginais etc) as well as the media to continue this parade of disrepect.

And now...the word is out more than ever...what premier player would sign as a free agent in Montreal??? For what...to get chastized at every turn? Is it the taxes? No because other Canadian teams have nabbed high profile FA...

Ribeiro is the symbol of the final nail in the coffin for our storied franchise.

Gainey is our only hope for a hab renewel program...And why didn't gainey ship Ribby out after the "tussle" with Koivu?...nevermind...but he did it in a very subtle way...one year contract knowing he was going to flop and then many of the media would recognize how bad he really is...much easier to ship out a proven loser than it is to ship out a " rising star"( not). Brilliant move by Bob...
