After watching the big names of free agents sign with other clubs and the habs doing nothing, i was getting pissed off! but, after reading some of the comments of the very smart hockey brains of this board, saying to wait til the firesale is over and then get some half-decent players from other clubs that will be over the cap , without giving a whole lot up, sounds good! i am now confused about what to think? maybe a couple of beer, maybe a lot of beer will clean up my confusion, maybe some screech? maybe both!!

Newf- it appears that we have no choice but to wait for the firesale lol. I too have gotten over my intitial disbelief and disappointment when gainey did not sign anyone. In a way, it reminded me of my wedding night. Lots of anticipation followed by a big letdown. Gainey is too smart a guy not to get it done and there will be bodies available at a bargain price. But I have to say that Arnott thing is still bugging me. You would think with Carbo, Gainey, and Jarvis, all dallas guys, he could have been pursuaded to come north,

Yup, and you can add Souray, a close pal, in there, as well. The only guy I seriously wanted was Arnott and my jaw dropped when he signed with Nashville. That was a real blow and I can't imagine how the braintrust felt after that one.
