Habs Salary To Date
Permalink Closed

Habs salary to date is approximately 37 million (assuming the RFA's take the same Salary as last year) and looks like this:

Ryder Koivu Higgins

Kovy Ribs Zed

Perez Pleks Kasts

Murray/Downey Bonk Begin

Markov Komi

Souray Rivet

Bouillon Dandy

Streit

Huet/Abeisher

So we have about 7 million to spend but no spaces to put the new players into. All the top D-men are gone so I guess our D-corpse is done for now. I guess Gainey will look for a center to replace Ribs and possibly a winger to replace Zed but that's about it if anything at all.

Look for a package deal that will give us a draft pick and will offload out crap baggage.

And as of right now, the Habs sit at 29.9 million. People should also note that not everyone will be back, and people will be traded away in any event, so we technically have more than 7 million to play with.

Huet better get used to seein alot of rubber because if Gainey does not fix the blueline we are in sheep dip. As much as I like the Cube..he is NOT the answer. Gainey continues to overpay. 7 million bucks is not alot of money to play with and certainly not the huge bankroll that many on this board thought we had to spend on players.
