Pierre McGuire comments at the 2005 draft ( about Carey Price )

                             watched a rerun of the 2005 draft last nite and when the Habs picked Carey Price ...one of Pierre McGuire's comments was that " this is right off the books ...right off the reservation " ....a few moments later an announcer at the conclusion of an interview congratulated Price's mother on being elected a Chief of a Carrier (?) First Nation in B.C.


                             I had no idea about Price's heritage untill watching this rerun ...not that his heritage matters , but did McGuire intend this as a slight ? ....or was his mouth just running on in his usual manner .....pretty stupid comment for national television !

Hmmm ... reminds me of a Seinfeld episode.
