What a game! You gotta give Juicy the Cone Smythe (an Ice Cream cone resembling that other MVP trophy) for tonight's performance

Never say never!!!

It just dawned on me Brooky.... They forced (at least) a game five last night. Are ya saddened that you won't be there cheering on the Oilers or are ya happy you got rid of the tickets? (Also, did ya find out if the Ebay buyer was an Oiler fan or an Insane Cane fan???)

Rumour has it that Kraft will be sening a tractor trailer load of cheese to the Canes dressingroom today to go with wll their "whine". In all my years of hockey I have NEVER heard such a bunch of whining crybabies when they lose a game as what I see in Carolina. Everything is just great when they win. They will give the press all the interviews they want and talk for hours. Lose? Well last night Brindamour would not even come out of the dressingroom and give an interview. La Violet whined at the press conference about the Smyth goal. Doug Weight talked about goaltendere interference "We get all these memos from the league about not running into the goalies or going in the crease and then they allow this stuff to happen". HUH!?!?? This is a team that takes pride in running through the crease every time they get a chance. Ask Roloson. I sai dit before, you live by the sword and you die by it. Cam Ward has had his way all playoffs with no one getting near him. It is about time.

If you want to cry about officiating, what about the premature whistle from the ref when it was sitting open in Wards crease and he had no idea where it was?!??? Oilers put it in but the ref had blown the whistle so it was disallowed. Funny I heard no mention from Carolina about that after the game?

Lindy Ruff said it in the Buffalo series. He said that carolina is a great team as long a sthings are going their way. I thought this was the "New Fan Friendly NHL"?!?? To refuse to give interviews after a game just because you lost and are sulking is f-ing ridiculous. You are getting paind milliuons of dollars to play hockey. You should suck it up and give your interviews or be suspended.

They remeind me of the kid on the playground who has a spat with a playmate and takes all his toys and goes home. GIVE ME A HUGE BREAK!!!!!!!!!

Well said Barry, we will make that reason #9 to hate the Canes.

Every day they drive me a little bit more crazy.  I really hope Edmonton takes them out.

I loved that goal by Ryan Smith - the kind of crazy fluke at the last minute that the Hurricanes have been good at.  See how it feels now......

i dont know where the Ref was during that goal that was disallowed but it was lying in the crease for EVERYONE in the building to see BUT the ref....i mean come on! Sad, it seems these things ALWAYS happen to the Oilers...Remember the goal taken away during the final stretch of the season that COULD have put the oilers out of the playoffs....Fortunately they were still able to win last night.

Just checked in for a second...I can't stand Carolina. And not because they beat the habs...they are just a bunch of sulkers. Don Cherry was tongue in cheek last night when he showed all those clips of the Canes' running goalies. What a bunch of turncoats!

Go Olilers..if the Canes' win...I don't like the "NEW NHL"...Carolina is a poor representative of sportsmanship I think...And that Williams guy...acident or not...should have been suspended for such careless use of the stick.

Well, the ref's name is Mr. Magoo!

Well good win for Edmonton but a lucky goal indeed. I don't know if Markannen could repeat that performance.....

I have followed the Oilers and do want them to win but to be objective, Roloson was a huge whiner! After every whistle, if there was a player near him, he would complain to the ref. Until they're more consistent with the crease rules, this will be a norm.

Roloson had good reason to whine, trust me, as a goalie....it isnt fun being run over ALL the time, especially in the position you are in during saves. If i were roloson id be doing the exact same and in fact i do. If i get run over alot in my crease i take things into my own hands that way players know that coming at me they will not only face the team but me as well. Plus look what happened to roloson, he is now out because of people hitting the net, unfortunately its his own players fault, but the point is still there. Knee injuries are some of the worst injuries in the world ( i know from experience ) goalies NEED their knees to play and being run over and having your career ended is not what i would want either.

Johab, I mean he whined if he felt the wind from the skater going by. Sure he had incidences where it was justified but mostly it was just churping to gain points with the Ref. The irony of it was he did get injured.

Canes whined and so did the Oiler players. It's all part of trying to gain the upper hand. All worth it I'm sure, especially when they lift the Cup.
