What's the rumoured trade offer(s)?

Nothing mentioned... I don't think it will be much because it is just an opportunity to have first negotiation rights. Middling pick maybe? Anyone know any precedents for these kind of deals?

Why trade anything at all. He would be completely free on July 1st. Wait till then.

Arnott would be have to be an idiot not to wait at least a couple hours for a call from BG??

Being a good friend of Arnott's would be great to see him in Montreal. One of the reasons he would go to Montreal is that his Mother is from the there. He is also good friends with Souray, as Sheldon attended his wedding.

Not a bad idea considering the usual deals for rights of a UFA is only a condintianl draft pick and if they are unsigned you lose nothing,.

He would be a power for us. Wow sitting in front of the net. I also think that he has totally found his game too, last year getting career highs. I'd love this, no he is not a superstar but this is what we need size, heart, intensity, he'll beat up more guys than lose to them as well.

The thing that scares me about Arnott is that sure it was a career year, but it was also a contract year. I don't know if you'll get the same fire in year one of a three year deal.

One thing I noticed duriung this past season while in the dressing room and media conferences is the close relationship of sorts , or the easy access if you like, that Yvon Pedneault enjoys with GM Gainey.

This doesn't surprise me a bit, and i'm sure they are cooking something. Hopefully Arnott is one those players Gainey was referring to when he mentions players who don;t mid the "spice" Montreal fans/media provide.
